Invisalign®
What is it?
Invisalign is a clear removable aligner. The material is a plastic designed for use within the mouth. Being removable it enables one to take them out whilst eating, drinking, attending meetings, taking photos and cleaning of teeth.
How does it work?
Your Invisalign treatment is handcrafted by our team of experts following your initial assessment. Available in fixed and removable options, your aligners guide your teeth into position over time. Aligners are then changed every 1-2 weeks until we achieve your dream smile.
Ceramic Braces
What is it?
Ceramic braces, like traditional metal braces, are fixed braces. However, thanks to the ceramic material they are far more discrete.
How does it work?
Ceramic is a clear material that light shines through, therefore making the brace less visible. Ceramic braces are glued onto the teeth and a wire connects the ceramic braces together. Ceramic braces are then adjusted every 4-8 weeks to ensure teeth continue to move into position.
Lingual Braces
What is it?
Unlike traditional braces, Lingual braces sit behind the teeth on the inside of the mouth, meaning they aren’t seen as they are straightening your teeth.
How does it work?
Lingual braces are custom-made for your teeth following your initial assessment. They are then glued behind the teeth with a wire that connects the lingual braces together. Lingual braces are tightened every 4-8 weeks to ensure teeth continue to move into the desired position.
Metal Braces
What is it?
Metal braces are the most traditional type of braces. They are fixed onto the teeth, making them highly robust and extremely efficient in straightening teeth effectively.
How does it work?
Metal braces are glued directly onto the teeth and a wire is then used to connect the metal braces together. Metal braces are tightened every 4-8 weeks to ensure teeth continue to move into position.
Clear Aligners
What is it?
Clear aligners are exactly what they say on the tin. Made from clear plastic, they’re almost completely unnoticeable. They’re easily removable, which means you can take them out whilst eating, drinking, attending meetings, taking photos, brushing your teeth, etc. Our clear aligners are an alternative to Invisalign.
How does it work?
We’ll create your clear aligners following your initial assessment. We’ll then change the aligners out every 1-2 weeks; allowing them to guide your teeth into position over time.
Retainers
What is it?
Available in removable and fixed formats to suit your requirements, retainers are similar to clear aligners. However, instead of moving your teeth, their purpose is to prevent your teeth from moving.
How does it work?
Your teeth will always want to move back following orthodontic treatments. To prevent them from undoing our hard work we highly recommend long-term retainer wear. Where possible, it’s best for patients to have both removable and fixed retainers to maintain your dream smile for longer.
